Patient Education

Overview Of Patient Education

Patient Education

Among the village community, people are educated on maternal and child health issues like nutrition, immunization, family planning methods, personal hygiene, water borne diseases, food borne diseases, vector borne diseases, tuberculosis and other communicable diseases.

Non-Communicable Diseases

Emphasis is also laid on non-communicable diseases, hypertension & diabetes, and early detection of cancers like breast cancer, cervical cancer and oral cancer.

Community Outreach

Our workers hold Mahila Mandal meetings and meetings with the village Sarpanch and other opinion leaders. In the villages, with the help of ASHA workers, MPHW (M&F) and supervisors along with the faculty of the Community Medicine department, people are educated on day-to-day health problems and how to prevent them.

Referral

We routinely practise health education in rural areas. Those who need referral are timely referred to seek the appropriate medical care.
